I began my photographic career in 1998 when, as a trained photojournalist, I worked for two of Canada's largest daily newspapers in the city of Calgary. The variety of work was tremendous, but there was a distinct lack of personal interaction with clients.
I decided to make the move into studio photography and make the most of the freedom, creativity and warmth found in portrait and wedding photography. I learned new skills and developed existing ones under the training of Master Photographer and winner of Canadian Photographer of the Year, Bob Hewitt, owner of Mathieson and Hewitt Photographers an extremely successful studio in Calgary, Canada, which was one of the first in Canada to move away from film and become fully digital. I am proud to say I was at the forefront of the digital revolution, now ubiquitous in every aspect of photography.
After several years of building a strong client base and studying photographic techniques, the opportunity came along to move to Glasgow, Scotland. I believe that my client's needs are most important and I use my experience and skills to ensure that everyone has a truly memorable experience thanks to great service, and most importantly, great photos that will provide years of enjoyment.
